Today my third album “Sins of Tomorrow” was released on all major platforms. This is the first one I had a certain “idea” for. Usually I just make tracks and then throw those, that somehow fit together into a bucket and call that “album” 😉
“Sins of Tomorrow” is different. I knew it should have a certain feel of inevitability to it, a certain foreboding and the rough and edgy feel of dystopia. At the same time I wanted the tracks to also transport a glimmer of hope, a momentum of uplifting. Most of the tracks on this album follow a certain structure: buildup, break, release. First an emotion is built up, up to the breaking point. Then, at the end follows the release which takes us to either a place of “Ok, tomorrow looks crappy from here, but we’ll meddle through.” or leaves us right in the break point, waiting for the next treack to bring the release or resolution.
Having a plan or certain idea for an album was a welcome change of pace for me, for sure. I am, however, not sure, whether I like it better than my usual, chaotic approach. It’s certainly more of a challenge and much more effort to follow a plan rather than to just create music and let it flow on its own.

The album was released to all the usual platforms, so you can enjoy it on your favourite platform at any time. Note, that until 19.03. I have an offer running on Bandcamp: use the code “fifty” on checkout to get 50% off every purchase. This discount is valid for all of my albums and singles.
